Federal $12.97 .40 180gr ammo spotted at Walmart 50 round boxes.

I saw 100 boxes of each today at Stevenson's Ranch Walmart. If anyone needs some then PM me and I will pick it up for you.

As always, no .45ACP, ever. I can always find handgun ammo at the local wallworlds except for the .45

Sorry I bought the 6 boxes of bulk packs that were available of .45. I plan to shoot them though and not hoard them like some people.

I agree it was a pain to find. There is usually a hoarder who picks it all up but he did not show today so I scored.

i actually have some friends that work at walmart and they told me they have this older fellow, prolly retired, come in every single day to check the ammo supply and will buy the 6 box limit of either .45, .223, and the like. He also brings buddies who will help him buy more ammo if there is more than 6 boxes he wants.

That kind of crap annoys the hell out of me.

Me too! If I see anymore .45 I will pick it up for you guys to buy for the same exact price.

The problem with these Walmart ammo found posts are, by the time the thread is started, the ammo is highly likely to be all gone. I went to my local Walmart last week around 10:30pm. Lo and behold, they had a bout 4-5k rounds of Federal 9mm for $8.97. I couldn't find any worker so being so late I figured I'd walk around the fishing area. Came back to the ammo cabinet and there were 5 guys waiting for someone to open the cabinet to get their limits of six. So we all got our limits and by the time the store closed a half hour later. There were only four boxes of the 9mm left. I asked the worker and he said he put the ammo out around 10pm, I saw it at 10:30pm and by 11pm it was almost gone. Came back the very next day about 8:30am about an hour after they open to see if the four boxes would still be there and they were gone. But I have not seen .45's at Walmart since last Christmas.

dont have the time or patience at the moment to get into reloading, but that might change soon enough.

I dont shoot enough of my handguns to justify reloading.

WTF.....everytime I go in those Walmarts (2-3 times a week to check for ammo) they tell me they haven't even SEEN any .45 for the last three months. And you bought six boxes of .45 a week ago? (what was it? 100 round winchester packs?) Why do the clerks insist on lying?!?!?

Got some 9mm today at walmart. I was there at 7:30am just so I can get some.
Got lucky and found 1 box of remington .45 auto (50 rounds) on Saturday.

The availability of .40cal is starting to make me consider procuring a .40cal pistol.

If I went glock I could get the 9mm conversion barrel to take care of my shooting needs.

And for reference.....9mm cost me .30cents a round at the last gunshow. I saw .40cal WWB 100rd boxes at WalMart recently for about .32cents a round. So it's not like 9mm is that much cheaper anymore......and if you can't find it anywhere then it's really a mute point.

I want to get me a .40 also. I have a Colt 1911 .45 and love it for now but ammo is scarce and I am too lazy to reload.

Luckly i have always been a huge fan of the .40's... And you can just about always find ammo, not to mention easy swaps for most popular guns to shoot .357 or 9mm as well.

I have a few .40's and in the past year they have got quite the workout!..
