Now see, this is the problem I have. Im not saying anything against his training being as how I havent trained with him personally. Ive heard both good and bad in regards to him and his training topics, so IMHO YMMV.
But. . . . why the hell would someone want a "supposed" copy of Al-Queda's training manual. Hell, Ive read thru it and its not that impressive. Plus its never been verified, only on the internet. . .
You want some pointers on death and destruction, get 5 .mil guys and 10 cases of beer, get them drunk, then ask them "how would you do this in the most screwed up life taking, havoc-wreaking, destructive way possible?" And trust me, the responses would put that little supposed manual to shame.
Quit feeding the paranoia pig and do realtime training. "just the facts ma'am"

organization which is not an agency of the United States government

warfare or sabotage, or which, as an organization, engages in rioting
or the violent disruption of, or the violent interference with,
school activities.
(b) (1) Any person who teaches or demonstrates to any other person
the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive, or

the furtherance of a civil disorder, or any person who assembles with
one or more other persons for the purpose of training with,
practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm,
explosive, or destructive device, or technique capable of causing
injury or death to persons, with the intent to cause or further a
civil disorder, shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail
for not more than one year or by a fine of not more than one thousand
dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
Nothing in this subdivision shall make unlawful any act of any
peace officer or a member of the military forces of this state or of
the United States, performed in the lawful course of his or her
official duties.
(2) As used in this section:

I'm pretty sure the DA's could come up with something that could be construed as ILLEGAL here.

Point Shooting Progressions
Los Angeles, California
Force on force training has proven beyond any argument that the traditional shooting range methods are simply not suitable for reactive gunfighting. In this course, Suarez International Specialist Instructor Roger Phillips will teach you the "Fight Continuum".
Roger has studied extensively with Suarez International. He has also researched virtually every threat focused shooting system for many years. This course distills it all into one well thought out and extremely applicable system that dovetails neatly into the regular Close Range Gunfighting matrix, presenting the full aspect of the integration of sighted and unsighted fire at CQB distances.
Duration: 2 days
Ammunition: Approximately 1500 rounds (Minimum)
Requirements: Pistol, Carry Holster, 3 Magazines and Magazine pouch and Range Safety Gear

Point Shooting Progressions Course Overview
“Situations dictate strategy, strategy dictates tactics, and tactics dictate techniques......techniques should not dictate anything.”
“The Fight Continuum”
“The fight will be what the fight will be.” React as you need to react, move as you need to move, see what you need to see….all dependent on the distance and your position in the reactionary curve. This will be an in depth look at the mental aspect of the fight and the intertwined skill sets that make up the best solutions for specific situations.
This course comes directly out of my experience in Gabe’s “Interactive Gun Fighting” course. Immediately after that course I went out looking to train with the very best point shooters in the country. This course is a direct link to my findings while training with Gabe, 7677, and Matt Temkin. This course is designed to make a shooter the very best that they can be in regards to point shooting with dynamic movement. It is designed to make the shooter more well rounded and completely versatile inside of the “The Fight Continuum.” After this course you will be able to use your hand/eye coordination to make combat accurate hit from any angle, from any position, throughout your one and two handed draw stroke, with whatever movement is necessary. This course is designed to fill in the gaps in prior sighted fire training so that the shooter can seamlessly integrate sighted and unsighted fire into one “simply shooting” concept. We look to integrate our conditioned responses seamlessly with our natural human responses so that best solution for the problem (for you) is handled quickly and easily at the subconscious level.
Precision sighted fire
Flash sight picture shooting
Alternative aiming methods and the subconscious programming
Quick Fire (driving the gun)
Introduction and benefits of below line of sight point shooting
Mid point of drawstroke point shooting

Failure to stop drill
Thorough exploration of the “Zipper”
Two handed multiples at appropriate distances with appropriate extension, integration of sighted fire
Introduction and benefits of one handed point shooting (FSA=Fairbairn, Sykes, and Applegate)
Completely versatile drawstroke, using hand/eye coordination off of the visual centerline, eliminating any sort of stance dependence.
Line of sight point shooting (FSA point shoulder)
FSA three quarter hip
FSA half hip
Elbow up/ Elbow down
“First shot trigger technique”
Complete exploration of the progression of Elbow up/Elbow down
One handed focal transition drills
One handed failure to stop drill
One handed zipper, integration of sighted fire
One handed multiples at appropriate distances with appropriated extension, integration of sighted fire
Introduction to controlled movement and sighted fire
Fluid Situational Response
Get the heck out of Dodge movement and the use of cover with sighted fire
A complete exploration of the “dynamic movement drawstroke”
Four elements of accurate shooting with dynamic movement
Movement must have “purpose” lecture
Dynamic movement while fighting in all directions from varying distances with varying extension.
The gun In Quartata
Zippering on the move
Parallel tracking
Using movement to open up “sectors” and the complete exploration of those sectors
“The first shot drill”
Directional changes, feints, jukes, cutbacks, and elliptical movement
Footwork pivot
Confined spaces drills
Emergency response drill
Handgun transfers and ambidextrous shooting
Put it all together “Zig-zag” drills
Put it all together “S” drills (dependent on class size, “marching” drills will replace the “S” drills in larger classes)
Plus a lot more……1800 rounds minimum…..if you want to shoot more, bring more!

I am always looking for hosts. All you need is a good range with some liberal rules, set up the logistics for me as the "local guy," help get ten students to commit and you get two spots in the class to do with as you please.
I was in Reno last September, we had a bunch of Sacramento guys. I will probably do Reno again in 2009. Great range, run by some great guys!
Would Reno be any better?

Suarez International "Specialist Instructor" Roger Phillips, 2009 Schedule
http://www.suarezinternational.com/tech.html
Here is a partial 2009 schedule. I am looking to do some things a little differently this year. I am going to expand my horizons and teach some of Gabe's outstanding courses. I am also going to be doing some co-instructing with some of the SI outstanding staff instructors. Richard Coplin and I will be offering a brand new PSP/FOF Gunfighting course.

Close Range Gunfighting (CRG) September 12-13, Las Vegas NV. Co-instructed with Rick Klopp
*Fighting Rifle Skills (FRS) October 10-11 Las Vegas NV.*
*Point Shooting Progressions and Force on Force (PSP/FOF) November 14-15 Las Vegas NV. Co-instructed with Richard Coplin* This course will be running in conjunction with "Ladies Gun Fighting" taught be Corrina Coplin.
I have a few more things in the works and I will get them on the schedule as soon as I nail them down.
Everyone keeps asking me about an advanced PSP course or a PSP2. Guys.....the advanced course is already there.....it's called "PSP Fighting at Night!" The original PSP course is one of the most advanced handgun course that I have ever heard of. "PSP Fighting at Night" takes it to an entirely different level.
If you are serious.....get serious and take it into the night.
For those that may be considering training with me, but are not sure of it yet, here is the link to my first book. It will be available on December 20.

There are three other California Suarez International courses in the first quarter of 2009 already up on the schedule. All of them taking place at Burro Canyon outside of Azusa CA. Keep an eye out for additional courses as they become available.
