The 'ban' was over last September.

Is your sporter registered as a prk 'assault' weapon??

If so, knock yourself out.

Above all are correct.

Since Sept 2004 there's now no longer any FEDERAL definition of 'semiautomatic assault weapon' and of course 'pre-ban' and 'postban' terminology is moot.

If your Sporter was registered in CA as an assault weapon by Jan 23, 2001 (not 12/31/2000, due to Kasler impact) you are free to make whatever modifications you want - folder stock, flash hiders, etc.

Just don't have a 'grenade' launcher or a barrel length under 16" (Fed NFA SBR violation - illegal in CA too).
