View Full Version : I finally snagged an HK P9S Combat in 9mm...

I finally found an HK P9S, and picked it up yesterday. It is a Combat model chambered in 9mm, and has an "IA" (1980) date code. It was never fired, and came with all the goodies: manual, test target, box, and so on. I was able to take some photos of it this evening, and would like to share them:

I have always been intrigued by its roller-locked action, whose heritage comes from HK's rifles and submachine guns. For those who are unaware of its capacity, it uses single-stack nine-round magazines.

Wonder how she compare to the P7 family, I really like mine but the highcap model get hot as hell when you let all 13 rounds go.

BTW nice!

I picked one of these up off the board a little while ago. Finally took it to the range yesterday.

What a sweet shooting pistol. Very mild recoil due to the action (makes me want the 45acp version!), accurate too. Put 200 rounds through it and not a single hiccup.

Only complaint for me was the edges of the front grip strap feel pretty sharp in the hand.

BTW, I also have a P7M8, and found that I shot both similarly well, and that I seem to shoot better with both of them than most of my other pistols.

I can't tell you how long I have been looking for that gun. Like a decade. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it and where did you find it?

I paid $1400, and I found it listed on GunsAmerica. The seller was in the Berkeley area, and we did the PPT at City Arms in Pacifica.
