Can you still get the Sig P226R in all stainless? I mean is it on the roster? I looked but I am not sure if it's even still made. Thanks

The P226R in full stainless, and the P226 X-5 Comp in stainless are on the roster. The P226R stainless is not manufactured anymore (except special runs), but since it's on the rster you can find one online and have it hsipped ot your FFL for a transfer, instead of waiting for a local one to pop up for a PPT.

Yes you can...it is available in either the 9mm or 40 SW cal. It is very hard to get right now. But I do believe yzernie has it available in th 40 cal.

I never shot it but I did hold it and see it in person and the gun is flawless. The all stainless frame and slide is beautiful

I bought one new earlier this year (February) at Guns Fishing & Other Stuff in Vacaville. I went by in late June and they had a couple of new 226ST's and a couple of used ones.

There is a noticeable weight difference from the regular 226's though. It's pretty heavy. I like the added weight though.

I like the look you are describing - an all stainless Sig P226. I have a P226 with a similar look but in different material. It is a factory electroless nickel plate on a carbon steel/aluminum gun from the early 1990's. The slide, frame and small parts (except the barrel and sights) were nickel plated. I got the gun about 10 years ago in slightly used condition, and have Hogue wood grips on it.

I own a P226R all stainless. If I recall correctly it weighs 8 ounces more then the standard P226R. Not much of a difference in a full sized pistol. I used to own the standard P226R also. The added weight is nice in the 40SW. It will slow you down a tiny bit in competition shooting when you are going from target to another target. They are readily available here

I got mine brand new from TGS. It's all stainless too. http://www.topgunsupply.com/sig-sauer-p226r-stainless-9mm-siglite-night-sights-da-sa-all-stainless.html

I just realized mine doesn't say stainless on the slide, but TGS assured me it was all stainess. Are the NEWER ones not indicated with "stainless"? My case indicates P226R SSS - not sure what the other S is for...can anyone answer this for me? It was manufactured in April 2009.

I love this version much more. That is why I got my Mosquito RTT as well. I am getting my P6 redone to similar specs.

My buddy has a 226 9mm and 229 .40 both in full stainless. He doesn't like my RTT. I'm indifferent, but do like the alleged limited run....less than 500 supposedly.

I was going to send my P226 to look like that as well, but the finish is still good. So if I do the reverse finish, would it be 501 of them, then get it engraved as such. :)

I just don't like the regular two tone, with silver on the slide and black on the frame.
