The 92FS was quoted to me as $650 new from two local shops. Are the M9A1 more expensive?

The Beretta 92FS and the standard M9 at $650 is full retail price. The M9A1 which is the M9 with the tactical rail is $100 more. For $100, I'd opt for the Inox instead which I find to be a fine pistol. I have the Beretta 92FS (straight dust cover), 92FS Inox, and the 92FS Inox Vertec. To me, the 92FS Inox is best-looking one of the three. The Inox Vertec has been discontinued.

I bought two slightly used 92FS and paid $450 each, selling one for $425 a few months ago to a local buyer. I paid $500 for the Inox and $625 for the Inox Vertec. All were slightly used and in great condition.

Here's the link to the Beretta pistol page (https://www.berettausa.com/e2wshoppingcatalog.aspx?parentId=3100001368&parentLink=2100000084:3100001364:3100001368).

Hope this helps.

I've been doing a lot of research on these two guns lately, as I've been trying my darndest to find an actual Beretta M9A1 NIB- right now they just aren't really out there.

MSRP for a standard 92FS is about $725, per Beretta. You can find them cheaper, but $650 is a good deal for a new one. The shops in my area sell then for $718-825 depending on the shop.

MSRP for an M9A1 is about $775, per Beretta. If you find one please PM me :)

According to MKE's BerettaUSA link, the 92FS retails $650 and the M9A1 $750.

Huh.

That's not what Beretta.com said last week.

Funny thing is I looked today and I can't even find the M9A1 on Beretta.com, and it was clearly listed with the "defense" handguns previously.

Whatever. I'm cool if the price goes down. I'm 100% positive, however, that the price for the 92FS was $725.

I see the link you're talking about though (https://www.berettausa.com/e2wshoppingcatalog.aspx?parentId=3100001368&parentLink=2100000084:3100001364:3100001368)

The funny part about that is about a month ago when I started looking the BerettaUSA website looked nothing like it does now and had so little information that I didn't bother to return. Cool!

Now if only there was a single M9A1 anywhere in the US that was NIB and available for sale..... I'd buy it in a heartbeat. All I can find are M9 models (and 92FS). It doesn't even matter if it has full-cap mags, I got an FFL with the mag license that will just sell me the gun and keep the mags, allowing me to purchase 10 rounders legally later.

I keep going back and forth between buying a G19, G26, XD9, or the 92FS. I will most likely just get one of the first three and wait to happen across an M9A1 later. I'm pretty sure if I settle for the 92FS I'll be kicking myself later.

Are M9A1's that hard to find? I've never seen one on shelves but then again, I haven't really been looking either.

I don't know if they've always been hard to find, but for the last 90 days or so they've been just about nonexistent. I can find M9 pistols, but not the M9A1 version.

I just bought a G19 instead. I'll get an M9A1 one day when I happen across one.

Thanks, but I called Bud's a while ago and they wouldn't give me an estimate on lead time.

They've been out of stock over there for a while though.

I agree however that Bud's gets good reviews. It's one of the places I'm oging to be checking regularly.
