Anybody know?

We're hosting an LE Armorer class in October, and I wanted to throw the invite out to some area agencies..

On a side note to the OP, don't bother with Sac County...we can't send anyone anyways. We're lucky to even have patrol cars.

Federal reserve and US mint federal officers carry 229s. I talk guns with those guys whenever I'm in there servicing our machines. I think ICE (border patrol) does as well. Hope this helps. Spread the SIG love!

Just a suggestion for you...think about asking any of the PDs/SOs who allow their people to carry Sigs. We issue Glocks but we also allow our deps to carry Sigs if they want to buy them themselves. A lot of our guys choose the Sigs and as a result we have sent 2 of our armorers to the Sig class(s). Just another option for you to look at.

Sac PD carries Sig 226 40s. How much is the class going to be? The Sig 556 is also a rifle option for Sac PD.

Alameda County SO carries P226 or P229 Sigs.

226 in 357 sig

Hayward 226 in .40 cal

Fremont not sure caliber or model

San Jose issues 226 in 9mm, but approved carry is Glock, Beretta, Colt(1911 clones), and Smith and Wesson.

BART gives vouchers but a lot of their guys carry sigs.

IIRC the entire UC / CSU system has Sig. Someone will, I am sure, correct me if I'm wrong.

Napa County Sheriff, unless they've recently changed. Sonoma Sheriff allows them. St. Helena PD issues 229s.

I've seen DFG wardens with Sigs as well, although thats not their issue.

Yuba County Sheriff, Anderson PD, Redding PD just switched over to G22's (might be some sigs out there still), Coulsa PD... Honestly, there used to be more but recently many have moved to Glock.

Training activities have been restricted anyway due to budgets... Just as the Sac SO guys. They had to move their training academy back to American River...

The FAMS issue Sigs. All their pistols need to go through agency armorers but you still might be able to find a few agents interested in taking the class.

Last I heard, Cal-Fire issues sigs to FPO's and fire marshals office.
