This is a sketch I made of the M-220 design of mine. Those of you who are not aware of this, it's a recoil operated .22 Magnum and .17HMR AR-15 that has a pin-release fireing system and a receiver cut to house that firing system and no other, making it legal in California.
This sketch shows what type of base I have in mind and in inturnal sketch so you can see the BASIC idea of how it works. This is not the exact firing system, just a basic idea. I have yet to work on the inturnals of the Ar-15, so more then likley, this design is not even feasable for the AR-15, and it is not necessarally meant to be. Just enough to give you an idea of the mechanicle platform and nothing more. Note in the picture that the rear slot on the AR-15 receiver that the hammer fits in does not exist on this receiver, which is the decicive factor in making this one CA legal.
