Bravo-Co has in stock but is this a decent price, I know the SS barrel is a nice touch but awfully expensive for no sights/no bcg. Just looking for a sanity check, I figure if it was a great price they would be sold out but is this even a good price

Thanks,
TD

Also, it states it's a mid-length but further down the page it mentions a carbine-length gas system, WTF?

Do you want the rail? Do you want a stainless bbl? If so buy it.

The market has slowed and ~$900 uppers are a smaller market still.

It's mid-length.

It's a reasonable price when you consider that's a ~$350 rail. The standard (non-stainless) middy upper is $475, add a $350 rail and a $50 low-pro gas block and you're at $875 even without the stainless barrel.

Regardless of the text, the picture shows a mid-length located gas block.

The big dissapointment is the 5.56 chamber.
They went to the work of having the barrel blanks lapped, then put a huge throat in it that totally wastes accuracy potential.
They should have used a Wylde chamber to have both the accuracy and the reliability.

I agree. BCM builds hardcore stuff, but this is where you'd actually want some amount of compromise - you're choosing a barrel for accuracy with a SS.

I hope they do a "special run" or make them Wylde in the future - I'd pick one up. I'll stick with WOA until then.

They claim it's a Marine Corps SAM-R match chamber...is that something real or just their marketing speak for a 5.56 NATO chamber?

Was covered on M4C - IIRC BCM doesn't really know, they just had the barrel maker do it for them.

The say the chamber does have a shorter throat, but I don't know if they have dimensions. Someone would probably need to do a chamber casting (volunteers?).

That just means SAM-R has meaning, but we don't know anything about what they mean by SAM-R chamber. We'd need dimensions.

If someone wants to send me one of those barrels, I can cast the chamber.
