Good, how'bout some details. What grain bullet, how does recoil compare to 9mm or 45acp, was the gun a converted 1911 or something else ?

Not a clue.
Was handed the firearm already loaded. It was comercial ammo but do not remember which kind (speciality ammo).
It was built as a 38 Casuall.
The kick was slow push. Very controllable but you were pushed for a while. Nothing like a 9mm. More like a 45 but the recoil lasts 3 times longer.
The recoil spring was 30 pounds. So forget about chamber checking.
Overall it was very nice.
The only question is do you really need that kind of power?

Cool.. Of course you are right about the power. At some point it is time to reach for the rifle, right ? Guess I am just intrigued with the possibility of that much velocity in such a small package..
