So my co-worker just got a remington sendero 26" BBL chambered in 300 win mag. He's doing some of his first bench rest target shooting between 300-600 yards. He asked me to see what you guru's can give for a recipe of this round for maximum accuracy at this distance. He's dropping another 1k or so on a nice leupold scope locally and they're adding a brake, limb saver, and some other goodies. So, i'm just looking what you reloaders would recommend for a bullet/primer/powder recipe for the most accurate round for that particular setup. Thanks in advance!:cheers2:

I competed with that rifle for awhile and just retired it in favor of something completely custom. One of the favorite loads for that cartridge is is the duplication of the Navy's A191 load. Since I don't have any documentation to back this up, i'll say it's speculated to be 73.5gr of Relaoder 22 pushing a 190gr Sierra Matchking. Overall length for the cartridge is 3.5" Careful, this is a hot load. Problem is I never found that load very accurate at all in the factory rifle.
My personal favorite load which was extremely accurate for me is 69.5gr of Hodgdon 4350 pushing a 155gr Scenar at 3070FPS. This was also loaded to 3.5" using CCI BR-2 Primers. Though the bullet can be pushed even faster as this is somewhat of a minimum load, most comps won't let you push a bullet past 3100FPS.
Of course if you don't have these components on-hand, good luck getting them!

You may want to request that this be moved to the reloading forum. :)
