I would like to suggest to the powers that be, please set up a separate sub-forum just for the current firearms laws/flow charts all stickys and limited posting. There is a very large amount of repeat questions and it is baffling how many people don't know or know but are not 100% sure. Yes, people can use the custom Google search:

http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=018149931542195181678:pzxbzjzh1zk

but a large amount of calgunners don't even know that much, plus even that is a pain in the *** compared to just posting the question for the 5,000th time. To yet again get FUD, because the people who really know the answers are tired of repeating the same info.

AW laws, OLL, Magazines, HG safe list, PPT, intra-family, rebuild kits, OUC, CCW, transportation, SBS, SBR, AR pistol, 80% build, ETC.... There is a lot of great information on this site and it would be that much more useful if we can get it centralized.

This is a great site and I just want to see it to continue to grow and evolve into something even better.

But if we don't have to repeat the same information over and over and over again, there will be nothing for us to talk about :)

A lot of it is at the Calguns Foundation Wiki (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Main_Page), but that set of writeups is more like a reference book; it isn't terribly user friendly to folks who, unlike me, have not been wading through this junk for the last decade.

I concur that something like an FAQ forum as you describe would be useful; I have a bunch of posts ready for such a thing, but no place to put them where they won't get drifted off onto a second page within 48 hours.

Well I just finished this summary.

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=201618

Though it concentrates more on legal challenges than current laws.

Mind you, it's a _summary_, not a detailed examination/flow chart.

Oh I don't know --- I really look forward to answering the same question 50 times ---- better still, I am setting a personal goal of 500 times a month on, "What is the list of Kalifornia approved handguns and why can't I buy the Taurus Judge?"
