View Full Version : How do I break in/loosen up my mag holster?

Hello, I have an HKS Synthetic (plastic) Basket weave Glock 19 Double Magazine holster. I tried to put one of my new mags in it and it took about 5 minutes to get it back in. It was SOOOO hard to get out because it was so snug it was like air locked in. Any idea how I can fix this? or break it in/loosen it up? Thanks

This happened to a friend and he ended up drilling a hole in the bottom of the mag holder to stop it from vacuum locking his mags in. Make sure this is the fix for you before taking a drill to your new gear though.

Not really sure if its just because its snug or if its because its the air lock. I could always put a hole in the back of it on the bottom. But since its the fake plastic material there is no way for air to escape. Any idea how I can loosen it up? I will post a picture of it
I think I'm going to buy a new one because this one is so snug its unsafe to use

yea if you are using glock mags get leather
plastic is best with metal mags though cause leather will contribute to rust
