I'm in north San Jose, and can meet FTF locally. Please ask if you have questions.

I'm willing to trade for an AK in 7.62x39mm. Differences can be compensated by cash or add-on item(s).

Brand new Smith & Wesson upper in 5.45x39mm, 16" barrel, chrome lined bore and chamber, M4 profile, never been mounted.

This upper is complete and includes everything from factory. Accessories include the heavy spring and cable lock. There is no magazine in this package. They won't ship these uppers with magazine to CA or wherever has hi-cap magazine ban. You can use AR15 5.56/.223 mags with USGI follower or whichever can give a bit of tilt to compensate for the slant case of the 5.45x39 cartridge. 30-round mags are available from cproducts.

I bought this upper from a private party, and trying to recoup part of my cost. Other vendors might have lower prices. However, lowballers will be ignore.

have you actually fired this upper? How do you clean it when using corrosive 5.45? Or is that just a no no with ARs? I like the idea of this upper, but wondering if the corrosive ammo is a PITA? hopefully, I am worrried aout nothing,

I actually have 3 uppers in this caliber. One is being use, the other is being converted for SBR. The third is this one being posted for sale. This upper has never been mounted, just taken out of the box for picture.

I have no issue with cleaning. Warm water is all you need to neutralize salty residue from the corrosive primers. You can spray warm water to rinse the bolt face and chamber/bore after each range session to neutralize the salt, and follow up with normal routine clean/lube.

I found that my 5.45 uppers are way cleaner than other uppers and rifles because of the extra cleaning.

-dump 'em in a bucket with warm water and soap
-let it stay for 15 mins
-blow dry it or dry it with compressed air
-clean and oil it like an ordinary 5.56/.223 upper
-put 'em back in the safe
-repeat after each range trip
