Sanchez attacks Gottlieb for using Holder and Obama's OWN words to form his argument that they're anti-gun politicians. He goes as far as to say "that's all you got?" as if recent discussions they've had aren't good enough to judge what their views really are on gun control.

This guy is a clown who regularly harasses and mocks his guests who are supportive of firearms rights. Perhaps a letter writing campaign to CNN might be in order?

Don't watch... Lack of ratings will take him off of the air...

This guy is a clown...

You could have easily deduced that by stopping when you saw who his employer was. :p

Telling CNN to stop being anti gun is like trying to train a tiger to eat lettuce.

CNN's the best of our domestics... I prefer the BBC, though.

... that said, Rick Sanchez is a giant asshat. Always has been. I can't wait till they show him the door. He can take that obnoxious Tony whateverhisnameis with him that makes the stupid faces.

My advice to our guy: lose the bow tie.

A lot of people who wear bow ties are pompous, self-absorbed retards. Present company excluded of course.

"My advice to our guy: lose the bow tie."

LOL, no kidding.

Why do all the bow-tie guys seem to be pro-gun?

"Telling CNN to stop being anti gun is like trying to train a tiger to eat lettuce."

Don't put words in my mouth. I wouldn't suggest that obviously pointless approach. Rather, it would be helpful if it were pointed out that he misquotes or simply omits statements that hurt his cause. Deconstructing their argument can be helpful.

As a side-note, Lou Dobbs is still there. CNN is generally unfriendly to our cause, but not completely unwilling to air the pro-gun side.

From Wikipedia:

"On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium after Smuzinick darted into the road.[2] Smuzinick, who was inebriated and under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, was paralyzed and eventually died from his injuries in 1995.[2][3] Sanchez, who had just left an NFL football game with his father (and left the scene of the accident), was not charged with causing the accident, but was charged with and pleaded no contest to DUI."

LOL, if true, he got drunk, ran a guy over (guy dies later due to the injuries), and may have even left the scene of the accident.

Somehow this information could be useful...

He should run for the Senate, Teddy's spot might need filling soon. One DUI killer out and one in.

Wow, that guy is annoying. I like that he jumps on Mr. Bowtie for referencing the past when he turns around later and excuses the current administration's spending by saying the last guy did it first.

Same exact thing came up on Hardball with Alan, but instead of actually addressing the issue, the host (not Matthews the other guy) talk about Glen Beck using Nazi imagery and saying it was the right wing's fault for the guy who shot the 3 police officers because he thought his guns were going to be taken. If you can't debate the issue, change it.

Well, actually he is wrong about that militia thing:

"You know there are ninety million gun owners in America, and they're not members of militias."

In reality, many of us are members of the militia whether we like it or not. Here is the relevant passage from the Militia Act of 1903 (also known as "The Dick Act"):

"Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are--
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia."

Yep, Hence the old saw about why you never argue with stupid or willfully ignorant people, they just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Sounds like his name needs to be changed to Dick Sanchez, to better reflect his poor attitude.

Because a bow tie allows you to dress formal yet will not get caught and tangled up with your weapon in tactical situations.

Talk about a classic TV set-up.

Two against, one for, don't let the one for talk.

Would you go out in public wearing a bow tie without some way to defend yourself?

Alan held his own, he got his points out, he won the debate, and the video was entertaining.

As far as Alan's bowties, that is his trademark.

While Sanchez was argumentive, he did let Alan speak.

This was a bit of a setup, the old two vs one. Reminds me of the old Hannity and Colmes show. Now on Hannity, it's just two vs no one. That's why I hate those talking head, "news analysis" shows. Booo......
