Buying a used handgun out of state

I have a quick question,
I am eyeing an used handgun out of state right now. It is on the CA DOJ list. Can I buy a used handgun that is on the list from out of state from an individual? Is there any restriction to ship it to my FFL?

Make sure it REALLY is on the Roster. Minor variations might result in non-Rostered status (for example, the "dash" version on a S&W revolver:
686-2 is not Rostered but 686-8 (?? can't remember) is.)

Make sure it's unmodified (except grips/sights). Any changes can result in its losing Rostered status since that was not the shape in which the gun was tested/approved.

Oh ok. it is PC9105LP. Just waiting for the owner to confirm model no. I think he changed the sight and that's all. Is it risky to buy out of state even it is on the roster?
