Can I un-register my HK Tactical from DOJ AW registration if I replace the threaded barrel with regular non-threaded barrel and keep the non-theaded barrel separately now? I should have done this before the registration.

TIA.

Why the hell would you want to do that?

You could swap barrels but still keep it registered if you wanted and hold onto threaded barrel for later.....you know like...for like when suppressors become legal in CA again! LOL

Yes, you can un-register your AW! My co-worker just did that so I can trade my Garand with his Milled AK.

Thanks for inputs. I think I should keep it registered and having the threaded barrel on.

You have a rare luxury here in commiefornia, keep it up.. You never know if supressors will become legal again.

Suppressors will become legal well after the HK USP tactical is no longer an "assault weapon."

You'd be insane to un-register it. Keep it as it is. Are you looking to sell that's why?

If your thinking of selling it, how much do you want?

I have decided to keep it registered. I feel lucky that I have bought it before the ban. Thanks everyone.
