Folks - was just at the Bay Area Gun Vaul (http://www.bayareagunvault.com/)t and handled a GORGEOUS CHP Commemorative Model 19-4 (pinned and recessed) with matching presentation case (not sure if it's been relined or not) with CHP and S&W logos.

The gun is UNFIRED and CLEAN. There is zero flame cutting on the top strap. Comes with mint smooth factory Target grips.

Price was $695 - very fair I though given the condition of the gun.

Someone go get this!!!

It's C&R eligible too.

Sure it is. Why would that matter?

Even if it is c&r what are the benefits? You still have to do the 10days since it is a handgun still right?

If you have a C&R license then the purchase doesn't count against your 1-per-month ration.

Secondly, if you have a C&R *and* a COE then you can cash and carry from the dealer IIRC.

ETA - cash and carry of course meaning you still fill out your DD4473....*not* what it is in free states.

AHHHH! NEIL! YOU SUCK!

Why? Why would you tell me this?...I have WAY TOO MANY gun projects I need to finish right now.

That's a fantastic price for the described condition.

LOL. It's a kind of special S&W schadenfreude. I toss the information randomly into the ether and the resulting echoes of tormented souls makes me feel better about my own addiction.

And BTW -- technically speaking "buying all the guns in the SCSW" isn't really an "unfinished gun project". :p

<ducking>,
