I'm selling off the last of the ugly M1919A5 backplates I have. I'm sure it'll work, but it's heavily pitted, and it won't be pretty. This can be used to make the butterfly/spade grips for the M1919A4.

Yes, I said M1919A5
The A4 is the "flexable" and the A5 is the "fixed". The M1919A5 was used in tanks as a coaxial machinegun to the big bore barrel. There were WWII versions, and "post-war" A5 versions, each varied slightly and were often made from existing M1919A4s.

The A5s often did not have sights, did not have a grip in the back, and had a charging handle located in the rear of the gun, amoung other modifications. Since they were usually stuck in tanks and almost never saw daylight, they're not very well known.
