I just received some boxes from my wife’s grandfather, who recently passed. It’s a lot of Old reloading equipment. It looks like all the brass, ammo and dies are mostly for 30.06, with some .270. There is an old press that is stamped “Hollywood Reloading Tool” on one side and “Mfg by Hollywood Gun shop” on the other. There are two Hollywood dies that are stamped Hollywood 30.03 size die and one Hollywood 30.06 Crimp Seat Die. The arm and everything move freely.
There’s another press that’s stamped “Super Jet” looks like it does multiple shells at once. There’s two little clamps on the bottom plate that a 16 Gauge shell fits perfect in. There’s also, Lachmiller Powder & Shot tubes, a Redding Powder & Bullet Scale (325 grains)in original box w/instructions. The scale itself looks unused, the box shows a little wear.
Lyman Ideal Powder Measure No.55 in original box, unit looks unused, box shows wear. Also a Lyman No.45 ? It definitely looks like it goes together, but I can’t read what it says. Looks like “Lubricate & Sizer”?
There’s multiple dies and little gadgets I have no idea what they are. The pic will help you. The Dies are marked:
RCBS 300 H&H SEAT D
RCBS 300 H&H D
PACIFIC SX 270 A
PACIFIC 270 S A
HOLLYWOOD GUN SHOP 30.06 SIZE DIE
HOLLYWOOD GUN SHOP 30.06 CRIMP SEAT DIE
There are also boxes of shotgun wads (Alcan Co) & Micro Super Seal Wads, 4 “rods” that are in front of the boxes of wads. They’re marked “ 10Y BEAU 0 100 226 138 11V GERMANY”
There’s also a lot of old dirty brass. The majority is 30.06 w/some 270. About 380 pcs 30.06 and 26 .270. Plus 6 live rounds of Peters 16 gauge Remington. There are a few empty boxes of 30.06 and 270. As well as 39 live rounds, assorted 30.06 and 270. Some wooden flats that hold the cases, 4 that hold 120 rds and one that holds 245 rds. Some old shotgun and rifle powder and about 16 pounds of various shot, plus one full 25lb bag of Hard Chilled Acrashot #7.5.
Bullets; Sierra 180gr 30 cal .308 round nose = 17 pieces
Sierra .270 cal 130gr .277 spitzer B.T.= 60 pieces
Winchester Super X .270 = 20 pieces
Remington 30.03 bullets = 39 pieces
Lastly, there an old 19.25" Browning 22lr barrel, made in Belgium.
So the question is, what would this be worth if anything? I’d like to trade it all for ammo or? This lot is very very heavy, so if someone wants it, it’d have to be local. I’ll list it on a few boards and see what happens.
Could I please get some honest opinions on this stuff and if it’s worth anything? Thanks in advance. Here’s a few pictures. If it’s worth anything, I’ll move it to the correct forum.

These are not reloading equipment but glow plugs for a diesel engine.

The rest looks to be worth a couple hundred I would say start at $300 and come down to around $200. the reloaded ammo is pretty much useless.

I think it is worth much more than that -- Break it up into smaller lots for the best prices -- Hollywood press is probably worth 100-150 alone -- Powder is $10 a pound even as old as most of that is -- Die sets 15-25 -- Lyman books 15-20 each, lyman luber about 75-100, lyman powder measure about $30, redding scale about 15-20 -- Reloads are worth brass and bullet price at least -- Try cast boolits for folks interested in other than dillon and aw stuff -- my ha-penny -

Check out the cast boolit website ---There are more reloaders interested in single stage loading tooling there -- Most people here place a higher value on hi volume reloading tooling and tend to scorn low volume tools -- even so check here as well for selling prices, perhaps gunbroker as well -- Take your time evaluating what you have -- Everyone wants a good deal, but it should not be a steal --- Those things cost grandad a lot in money/labor -- my ha-penny

That hollywood press could turn out to be worth some decent coin , They sell very well on ebay. I have never used or even seen one but they are supposed really good .

Not sure I'd risk using the gunpowder, But I've seen old gunpowder cans in Antique stores for $5-15.
