I have 2 Yugo SKS rifles that I want to have the barrels cut down to 16", crowned, the sights moved back to this new position, the bayonet lugs cut off & any gas port work that needs to be done to make them cycle.

So here's my questions:

Can you do this?
If so, how much?
Time frame?
How should I get them to you?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

We can do absolutely anything... the real question is how much are we going to have to charge you to make it happen...

Sks work will require us to get/make specialized tooling to properly tear down the rifle without damaging it, and it will probably require considerable fine tuning to make everything run properly with a different back pressure/dwell at the gas port...

We've seen it done before as a quick and dirty job and it worked ok, but the common 'lop off the barrel, crown it by hand and call it done' way of doing it is really not on par with anything we want to have our name on.

We may need to actually perfect the process on one of our own SKS's before we take on customer work... we don't want to be 'experimenting' on your gun without knowing that the end result is going to look good and run flawlessly.

Essentially the answer to your questions are: Yes we can do it, It will probably not be cheap, and It will definitly take some time (we have a few projects that have to get done immidiatly, such as the AK pistol group buy)

As far as getting guns to us, the easiest way is to ship it right to the store via UPS, but please be sure to include a work order letting us know who you are, what you want done (who you talked to about getting it done) and if possible a copy of the quote/invoice that was generated for you.

If I haven't scared you off yet, (Not trying to chase away buisness, but we also don't want to blow smoke up your ***) e-mail is the best way to hash out all the details

Thanks,
