I called and asked if I could BO some h4350 and she said not to because they may not ever get them in 8 lb kegs anymore. Hodgdon is always so secretive about their idea of cutting out 8 pounders all together.

She mentioned h4350 by name. There was a rumor a while back that Hodgdon was doing away with 8 lb kegs all together. I guess its still getting thrown around.

Did you just order the out of stock item on their website and wait for it? I guess if I ordered a few kegs of h4350 and no 8 pounders ever came in, they'd just cancel my order. No harm in back-ordering a little, right?

Thanks for the heads up guys. I just ordered 2 kegs of H335. Its too bad they didn't have any Win 231 or primers to add to the order.

Do any of you guys have a preferred powder for 40 s&w, with copper coated bullets, other than win 231? 231 seems to work great and I still have a little Bullseye that seemed to work ok but maybe someone knows a bit more than me. I shoot steel challenge.

i like h335. i got a nice plinking load that have made up and it works quite well. it runs great in my reloading machine cause it being a ball powder. as for unique, yes its dirty, BUT it is great for 9mm and other calibers to. you can tell if you double charge with unique. for 9mm, you can load the case to the top full of powder and not reach a max load. i load it pretty hot at 1050 fps. it makes it a compressed load, which i think is more accuarte. bullseye is scary, cause if you double charge, say byebye to your favorite pistol
