Is there restrictions for rifle ammo in California. I thought I read somewhere no incendiary or tracer ammo? Are armor piercing ammo legal? I read that pistol armor piercing is illegal in CA.

I am wondering about 50 BMG AP rounds, I heard they are more accurate than ball ammo.

Thanks

Dan

Incendiary & tracer ammo illegal in CA - considered 'destructive devices'.

While it appears (possibly!) that components might be legal, I wouldn't risk having 'em.

AP for rifles are okay, but I'm not sure how it works if you have a pistol chambered for a rifle crtridge (e.g. Thompson Contender in .223).
