As the title states, which show is going to have more vendors / larger selection of reloading components? I have not been to a show for a very long time, was not able to make it to the ontario show and would like to check one of these shows out. Which show is larger, has more vendors with reloading components?
I'm pretty much only looking for primers, brass, bullets and a few other accessories.
thanks

If you're looking for primers and powder, then just choose one where Miwall will present at the show.

Do you have any experience with their primers? They will be at both shows so it's a toss up.

Good thing you didn't go to the Ontario Show. They don't sell primers or powder at the Ontario show. Well at least they didn't at the one we just had.
We got there an hour before they opened on Saturday and waited in line. Only to find out no primer & powder was being sold.

Due to the current market conditions, Miwall may or may not have primers at a show and they can't guarantee what they will be bringing. If they bring primers to the show, they're usually either Winchester or Wolf primers. You can email them and get a feel of what they might be bringing to a show in terms of primers.

Ventura almost never.
Costa Mesa certainly, but it was in such demand Thanksgiving that they were selling out of stuff at 1030am Saturday, while I stood at the table with cash in hand.
Trying again tomorrow.

The costa mesa show was a zoo today, the outside booth sold out of primers before I could reach the front, same with inside. I think all of the varget sold out in 15 minutes. Overall it was a cool show picked up lots of mags & ammo cans n stuff.
Did anyone go to the Ventura show? How was it?

Costa Mesa (today).
I stood in the three lines from 7:50 AM to 12:20PM non-stop.
One very long line to buy the tickets (I should have purchased my gun show admission ticket online). Then a second even longer line to get into the gun show once they opened the gates. Then a 3rd line for the Primer & Powder booth outside the show buildings.
The outside P&P booth didn't have SP or SPM primers from the get go, and by the time I waited my turn in the very slow moving line they had run out of WLR primers.
I got several brick of SR & LP primers to stock up on (I didn't need them, the ones I wanted were all gone SP & LR) and got several pounds of powder for 5.56 & 7.62X39 to hold me over through the matches I shoot for the next few months.

Went to the Ventura show today.
Arrived at 9:10, stood in the entrance line for 30 min., went straight to Miwall for powder and primers. 2-1/2 hour wait in line, only primers left were CCI small rifle and large pistol, bought 5k of each, also bought 8lb. of Win 231 for $145.95. There wasn't much else for reloading supplies at the show, don't bother going to the Miwall table tomorrow as they will be cleaned out of ammo and reloading supplies.

thanks The largest gun show in the entire country was the Great Western at the LA Fairgrounds until the LA Bd of Sups stopped it.When they made that decision I stopped attending events at the fairgrounds .

Same story at the Costa Mesa show. I will say while primers were a little short the big ammo vendors seemed pretty well stocked. I got enough primers and powder to keep me shooting for a little longer.
I got a chuckle out all the people with their little tables trying to re-sell Wal-Mart ammo for very inflated prices. They weren't doing so well.

Good i hope they dont sell it.Pay for a table to try and rape fellow shooters hope sales are real real slow so instead of profit they take a loss.

Just came back, left around 3pm and there were cases of primers (small rifle and Large Pistol) at the Miwall store... lots of dealers packing ammo away to take back... as you said lots of WWB and Blazer Brass.. stuff Walmart sales except for inflated prices

I went to my second gun show this past Saturday at Ventura County Fair Grounds. This time I was at the front of the line (I am learning) I managed to get 3000 SR and 2000 LP CCI primers from Miwal. Apparently they do this show about every 3 months. I had to get there at about 6:30 AM and they open at 9:00 AM.
A month or so ago I went to the Orange County show in Costa Mesa.
Costa Mesa was much more expensive 20 or 21 dollars Ventura 9 dollars
Costa Mesa preferred parking 8 dollars Ventura before 7:00 AM Free after that 5 dollars
Costa Mesa way more vendors but also large crowds.
Ventura way less vendors but small crowd.
Prices appeared to be about the same between the 2 shows.
Considerably more items like AR uppers and lowers at Ventura but that just may be because supply is catching up with demand.
