I know armalite makes the AR-30 in .338 Lapua Magnum. But since my search parameters are not bringing up what I am looking for but I am wondering if there is an Upper receiver assembly for the AR-10/AR-15 rifles chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. I also know that that caliber is available for the bolt guns but I would like it for the semi auto rifles so anyone with knowledge of the existence of such an upper would be appreciated as I want to work on building a SASS-type of AR.

I personally think a semi-auto for an ELR caliber is counter productive, but one of the best ones out there is from RND Edge in CO.

Cobb made a semi in .338, but since they were acquired by Bushmaster I am not sure what the status is at this time. You may be able to find a used one.
I agree with Brando that a semi in .338 LM is counter-productive, and if you change your mind and decide to go with a bolt gun I highly recommend:

Just to make explicit the implicit, the AR10 magwell is too small for .338Lapua. An upper alone won't cut it.

The Cobb had a similar system to MGI interchangeable magwells, thus making it possible to accomodate .338LM. To add, an AR-10 magwell cannot accomodate .338LM but can accomodate .338 Federal.

I'd hate to see a kaboom on a .338 LM rifle!
