Is there a trick to this? I have a TangoDown battle grip and a Stag 2ht upper. Is there a trick to attaching the grip, because for the life of me I can't get the thing on.

It seems like you have to slide it in place from the front, however it's like it's just too small. I can barley even get it started on the rail. Anyone have any tips?

Just make sure you unscrew the retention screw all the way and it should slide on. Sometimes there is just very little tolerance there, so you may need to use a rubber mallet, or something plastic and a regular hammer to help tap it further down the rail. Keep on it, it should really just "go."

Pull down the locking tabs at he same time, slide the grip onto the rail,,,,make sure it is not crooked. Seems like some go on tight, but thats good because it will be less likely to wobble.
If feeling bold, put your handguard/upper in the freezer for a bit, when its cold, the metal "shinks" and the grip may be easier to slide on.

LOL those are a pain. I brute forced them, rubber malleted them, etc.

By the 5th time, I used a very fine grain file and they now fit fine. No wobble either.

Have fun!

Even with them you still need a rubber mallet.
