It is Completed
Boy Howdy, this thing has the Heaviest Trigger I have ever felt, #9
Looks like I need an RRA two stage trigger setup.
Also I need alittle higher scope rings.
Other than that, it feels good, better balance than my old 20" build.
Later on I am going to rebarrel it with a 20" Fluted Shilen HB or the likes.
Can't wait to get to the range and sight this Puppy in :84:
Details:
Stag Lower
RRA 18" A4 Varmint Upper, Wylde Chamber, 1:8
RRA LPK
Nikon 4.5-14SF
YHM Riser
Bullet Button and Wonder Tool

Very nice - should be a tack driver.

Before you fork over your cash for a fancy trigger, try this:

I did this to my AR (Stag LPK) and it made a big difference.

Nice rifle. Never mess with a trigger unless you know what you are doing. Changing triggers.....well, there are many out there to choose from and all are easily dropped in. Try a Jewell or giseille, you'll never use anything else

If you are going to swap out triggers, take a good look at Timney Triggers. I have them and I have friends that have them too. We all seem to like them.

I'm a huge fan of Chip McCormick 1-pc drop in triggers. Smooth, light and crisp. The best part? Nothing you can do to screw them up during install. I've tried them all, and Chip is my favorite!

Thanks for the Trigger suggestions
I have had Jeweel in the past, I liked it, but to pricey.
I will attack this trigger and see what I get.

First Range Report:
Runs like a Pig at at Luau
It grouped fairly well for the Conditions.
First off the Trigger is a Horrid #9 and some Creep.
Second the wind was about 12-15MPH.
Third I had to use a 10/30 Mag and I had to prop the gun up high for the mag to clear the bench
and that made me Shake all over the place.
I know it will do alot better when I get the Trigger worked over and my 10rd Mags get here.
Anyway I got it Dialed in and I am Ready for some Yote & squirrel Popin' :dancing_bananna:

I got one just like that but with the 24" barrel. Where do you shoot? We should shoot sometime.

Did you do a GO or NO GO check before you fired rifle first time ?

The JP spring kit's work really well with the RRA LPK's + some stone lapping time.

Terrible, carrying it through the woods sucks.

How far is the range in Lincoln? I need to practice my long range skills.

My other build was a 20" and it was to front heavy, the 18" feels much better balanced.
Range is 200yds., used to be able to shoot to 300yds. but not anymore :(

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, what does this check consist of?
