If I had some Hi-Cap 20 round M1A mags purchased before the AW Ban, can I use them in my new, otherwise legal, SOCOM or would that turn it into an AW?

Unfortunately I don't have any papers proving I purchased the mags prior to the ban, is this a problem?

No, it is not a problem because they cannot prove that you did not have them before the ban.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you go to the range and mind your own business and don't draw any attention to yourself, most people probably won't even notice that you have a mag that is technically illegal.

Even if they do, all you have to do is ask them that they prove that you did not own them prior to the ban, which is impossible for them to do.

Offhand, where did you acquire those mags before the ban? http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I was wondering if we got them at the same place. http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
