Supplies:
-Tight fitting gloves (used batting gloves serves the purpose)
-Push pin, small nail ~1/16", or other poking device
-Pop rivet gun
-One 1/8" diameter aluminum pop rivets
-Two 1/8" aluminum pop rivet washers
-Dremel or file
-Electrical wire heat shrink

First locate the where you will poke the hole in the tip of your trigger finger. You want it between the tip of your finger and the middle of finger pad, approximately 1/4" depending on your finger size. Use your poking device to make the hole in the finger tip. Do not make a huge hole. You want the pop rivet to fit very tightly when pushed through the hole.

Place one washer on the rivet and shove through hole in finger from the inside of the glove. It helps to turn the finger inside out. Once the pop rivet is in position place the second pop rivet onto the rivet and begin compressing the rivet.

The rivet will most likely bend. Don't worry, that is what the dremel will help fix. if you want you can try to bend it straight, but it is unnecessary and most likely bend the other end.

After the rivet goes POP, use your dremel or file to trim to length and round the end of the protruding rivet to facilitate easy insertion.

To protect your AR from scratches, cut a short piece of electrical heat shrink wrap and shrink it over the exposed rivet.

With the proper placement of the rivet in the tip of the finger of the glove, there is no interference with the trigger and it is located to easily operate the maglock.

NICE!

Does the tool get stuck on the trigger at all? Seems like it could inadvertently cause a premature discharge of the weapon (I know I know, that's what she said)... I like the concept tho- thanks for planting this kind of idea in my head, I'll be experimenting with my own this weekend!

Good tutorial for a SHTF glove. Everyone should have one.

Not too much to be of an issue. I would not wear it if I was doing speed drills. It more than makes up for any short coming with the ease and speed of use.

Post back with pics of what you come up with!

Same sentiments here, except that I will just stick with my MMG and U-15. :)

most makes the bullet button a non-issue.

thinking out loud, though I like the idea, this is my only real concern.. I wonder if the gov got wind of this, and your not the only one of this method seen here, they would try to write legislation that would change the whole ability to use a BB and "tool" as devices like this make a BB not real different then just having the stock mag release, so why even have the BB so why not just write legislation to make this version of the BB illegal or further strictly define the vaguely define "tool". I wonder if when the BB was deemed acceptable, they ever figured people would be so creative and find a why to make a 'tool' that essentially makes it not like having a tool - or even a BB for that matter.

You need one of these to go with it:

They have bigger fish to fry. They're not going to come "sideways" when they write things.

It looks like it would make it easier to find the hole... LOL (sorry, that's just too funny :) )

... but it is a little ugly.. cannot do ugly on the AR. It's got to stay

make your own... you can form it so it's less obtrusive.
