View Full Version : Spike's Tactical .22 conversion kit questions

I just purchased and will receive my conversion kit next wednesday from Spike's. My question is... How do you guys set them up?
All of my rifles are set up with Prince 50 kits, so I have to break it open to load. I didn't think ahead and buy the Spike's Multi Cal lowef, so all of lowers read .223/5.56. Should I keep it configured as a break open to load with the Spikes .22lr conversion, or can I use a drop mag since it's shooting a rimfire cartridge?

Actually, with a prince50, you can back out the "set-screw" when you are shooting your .22lr conversion. Markings on the lower doesn't mean a thing. Just BE SURE, that the set-screw is TIGHT when your rifle is back to a centerfire configuration.

If you have the 22lr kit in it, just back out the p50 lock screw. Drop mags regularly as rimfire is exempt from AW laws.

Have there been any documented cases on this so far? I just want to make sure to abide by all laws and wouldn't like to be caught with an AW over a misunderstanding.
Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it
