Well I have my new rifle after the normal waiting period. Had to wait a little longer to get my Trijicon TA31F for it as the supplier was a little slow to ship since I didn't have it sent to my home address. They claim for security reasons. I even had called to follow up and they still moved slow on the shipping. Anyway all is good now. Oh and I know my foot got in one pic.

Congrats! Nice rifle.

Want to trade the DD sight for a Matech to go under that ACOG? ;)

You do want to move it back to get a proper cheek weld.

Have you SHOT your rifle yet? I personally don't think that will work....

You should look into getting a Troy and mount the ACOG further back....

The fix rear sights are meant for 1x red-dot type optics like AIMPOINT or EOTECH... not meant to be used for a scope.... especially not a 4x32 ACOG that has 1.5" of eye relief.... the recoil of the gun will push that sight right on your face/eye!!

You cannot cowitness with a ACOG... :D

PS. UCLA beats me!!!

These really are great rifles.

I talked to DD yesterday and they confirmed that:

- They'll be offering lower's
- They'll be offering more forearm options

I see great things for this rifle's future!

Hey guys thanks for the heads up on the DD rear sight. I didn't plan on using with the ACOG. I just left it on for the pics.

Seriously, PM me if you consider selling/trading it in the future.

You're gonna like your rifle. :)

Nice rifle, way too much eye relief with the ACOG in that mounting position.

Congrats on the new carbine! I have had mine for a few weeks now and have already put 1k rounds down the pipe with no problems at all. My only complaint is the front take down pin is so tight I need to use a small hammer and punch. Have fun with it!

Really, the sight (IMO) is only weak point with that rifle. I held one at the Del Mar show, and it felt solid.

 What's "weak" about the sight?

I think your tacticool skin is showing. ;)

No, try using that with optics. It's just in the way, just like that LMT fixed sight. Any $1600+ rifle should have a fold down rear sight IMO. If you don't plan on using optics, then it's fine. Some may like to use their Eotech through a peep hole, not me. Heck, if i'm gonna have a fixed rear sight, I would rather have a carry handle.

with bottom 1/3rd co-witness it's barely in the way.

A fixed sight is the way to go on a fighting gun. KISS.

Congrats on your new carbine, looks great but as others have stated, your ACOG position is a no go.
