Search for Remington R-25

Nothing I can see.

Search for Ruger 556

They were locking threads because of dups.

since the calguns search sucks for 3 letter searches, use the google/calguns tool

http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=018149931542195181678:pzxbzjzh1zk

which gives:

and some background info: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=122086

I don't know about quality but I've known about these for a while and always wanted eon in .308 (but Id prefer it was 7.62 NATO if they'd give me the option). I think the realtree is downright sexy. That's right. I said it.

Because it is a re-branded DPMS with camo film on it.

And the Ruger's not?? I was just wondering why so much hoopla over Ruger, when Remington has this R-25 as well as an R-15, and I've not seen the drooling that we did with the Ruger.

Cerberus owns Bushmaster and Remington. Cerberus buys DPMS. Remington takes the DPMS .308, calls it a R-25 and put some camo dip film on it. Nothing new but the name. Very little fanfare, since it is not new, just a rebrand.

Ruger has never had a AR platform. Introduces a "new" AR, people get excited. Ruger's AR is not a rebrand, but a "new" product.

Personally, Ruger's AR is less than exciting for me. But for some people something "new" causes excitement, even if the parts come from the same manufacturer as the "old" AR makers.
