Cool!
I recently helped my manager with a Garand purchase (he was a first time gun owner and fell in love with my CMP Garand so I just HAD to set him up with one)...
...the best part was that he let me take a day off (off the books) to wait on a ground shipment of CMP ammo lol!

Cool, I'm somewhat in the same boat...2 of my bosses have all their Midway and Cabela's purchases sent to the office and on a slow day they have an archery contest in the warehouse.

I have a swiss cheesed sillouette hanging right here in my store for all to see.
That, and the Ithica 12g sitting right below it, both get comments daily.

1. When your boss takes long lunches to buy ammo (then brings back 2200 rds of .308).
2. When half the office is armed, and go shooting w/each other twice a month.
3. When I can surf Calguns anytime I want....

My work is the polar opposite. We had a manager ( we all liked greatly go figure ) fired for taking some employees out for a round of clays in the company vehicle.

I did a PPT of a lower receiver to my boss. He also took a friday off because he went to a Blackwater 3-day pistol course. I haven't gone shooting with him yet but have a feeling he'll kick my ***. He shoots a lot of IDPA and often places. The rest of the office I'm not to sure about but he's a cool boss to work for.

+1, but I'd go for year round if you spring for ammo every once in a while :-P
I just found out tonight that my immediate supervisor is a life member of the NRA and that she could probably kick my *** at skeet...
She also promised to bring me some .22LR tomorrow :-P

I wish my job was pro gun but sadly corporate offices are full of a bunch of anti gun weenies.
Signs went up the past year with the standard no weapons allowed in the company. Never mind the roll tenders have big filet kinves and almost any tool in my big roll away box can be used as a weapon.
I have gotten a few employees hooked on shooting though.

Our guy was terminated over the firearm in the company vehicle, and they tied it to work place violence. Shame hes a great guy we all miss his wisdom.

Everyone in my office is open carrying or carrying concealed. There are registered assualt weapons nearby and a room filled with shotguns and tasers. My bosses force me to have a gun on me at all times when I work and i better have at least 2 extra magazines of ammo.

I came into work the other day and my targets were taken off the wall and rolled up on my desk. Didn't even ask me to take them down first. They just did it. Our VP Director was was down from SF and I guess he is a big flamer. OMG don't wanna offend anyone. I plan on doing some more "decorating" soon. I always find a way around.

I wish I worked for one of the cool companies.
My required annual on-line refresher class - “employee standards of business conduct” was due on Friday, so I just took the class. Under the topic of Safety and Security, subtopic of employee harassment and workplace violence, was a list of “red flags” for potentially dangerous co-workers.
Number 3 on the list was “obsession with guns and killing power”.
Number 5 was “self righteous attitude”
That would make a lot of posters on this forum pretty scary people. Which according to my required standards of conduct should be immediately reported to the security department. Oh, but with budget cuts, there’s no longer any on-site security here in So Cal. I’m supposed to call the corp office in Nor Cal for help.

Just for that, a cute little story.....which really happened. (the names have to be omitted for obvious reason)
My partner, now retired, had been a manager in charge of public-safety commo for our City here. We'd spent awhile doing up some load development for her pet rifle, a heavy barrel pre-64 Winchester M70 (the same model of weapon which Carlos Hathcock used to earn his fame) Instead of the long Unertl which Hathcock used, tho, she fitted a Leupold variable with a mil-dot reticle.
She had a number of target centres cut out and posted on the bulletin board in her office, including 200yd. cold-barrel shots within 1/4 to 1/2" of point-of-aim, and three shot groups which could be covered by a quarter.
The person then in charge of MERGE training saw these, and asked her to participate in the next sniper training cycle, as an exemplar for the trainees.
(presumably, the officers in training would be told, something to the effect of.......'you will be expected to learn to shoot as well as the elderly female civilian commo manager')
Someone at a higher command level countermanded the request, presumably because that might have been a significantly negative morale issue for any of the sniper trainees who would not have been able to shoot as well.
(and, of course, she would have been hopelessly unable to qualify in some of the PT aspects of the training)
cheers

I've thought about the doing the "poor mans CC" with a locked container here at work, but haven't done it yet.
I have had ammo and an upper delivered here.
Awhile back a manufacturer brought a S&W 500 in for me to look at as we've been talking about them off and on. So in the front office by the secretary's he pulls the gun out and hands it to me. Right when the Federal Postal worker walks in the front door. and says
"It's loaded be careful"
So now I'm holding this loaded S&W 500 and the mailman looks at me after hearing it was loaded. His eyes were as big as silver dollars and he put the mail down and backed out of the building.
I though he was going to crap his pants. We decided we should look at it back in my office instead after that. :D

I can have guns on site, but not inside the inner fence, it is a secured area. We will find coyotes on the security cameras though and go shoot them. last summer i got paid to drive around outside of the inner fence and shoot badgers and gophers. that was the best task ive ever "had" to do.

All newbies post shot-up targets inappropriately. No big deal.
What kind of poker hand is that?
