Want to put a box magazine on my 700. Saw one at Cabelas, is there any better options to go with? Caliber is .223. Thanks for the help.

Your options for 223 right now are Seekins and the one made by Puff.
AI is coming out with 223 mags though.
Once those are out, you can use Badger, CDI, Seekins or Vbull.

Thanks for the help. I will look into those. Do you know where I could bet those for a fair price?

There are no "good deals" when it comes to bottom metal.
It's a small market item, usually sold directly by the manufacturer.
Just plan to pay retail price.

The one that Cabela's sells is only for long action calibers, so it won't work with .223. One good alternative to a detachable magazine system is a magazine extension from Arms Tech (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=818519). It replaces the floor plate on your 700 and increases you magazine capacity from 5 round to 9 rounds. It's obviously not a real detachable magazine system, but it looks like one, and it costs a lot less (only $20).

Thanks for the link, i just bought one. For $20 you increase your capacity, very inexpensive upgrade!

HS Precision makes a decent detachable mag set-up that can use either their 5 or 10 round. I had one on a PSS and it was OK - much better than the Remington detachable mag.

HS 308 mags are 4 round or 10 round.
I don't think they make a 223 mag.
The big advantge of the HS over the others is that HS drops right into the bdl inlet of remington stocks made by HS.
Any of the other systems will require additional inletting.
