Is RRA a good manufacturer? They seem to be cheaper... How does quality compare to CMMG?

my 16in car is a tack driver and has never given me any problems at all. Good bang for the buck but others will argue there is better. blah blah blah

I know of a lot of people that use their 2 stage triggers (including myself) and like them. RRA Varmint A4 Uppers with the 223 Wylde are tack drivers.

I have a RRA Elite CAR A4 Mid-Length with a 16', 1 in 9 chrome lined, and love it. Never had any problems right out of the box.

i prefer RRA over CMMG personally. i beat my RRA upper to hell this week camping and she is still chugging along with a few "character" scratches now.

RRA is a very good hobby gun maker with a huge selection. Almost all of their stuff is CMT manufactured.

Have you spent any time reading through the chart (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pwswheghNQsEuEhjFwPrgTA&hl=en) and understanding what it means?

If you're talking OLL they're milspec. RRA recievers are great for builds, and you aren't going to find major differences between most.

RRA won a major contract with DEA to supply them with M4's a while back so their reputation is on the rise. Everything I have from RRA is quality stuff.

I ordered their ambidextrous safety selector right after the election. It took a whole lot of filing and Dremeling to get the thing to fit together properly. I think they rushed it out the door prematurely--for them to cut quality control so quickly indicates that they panicked and also that they are willing to sacrifice quality when under pressure.

Needless to say, I'll avoid their products from here on out. Companies, much like gunfighters, need to stay level-headed under stress.

I know several people with complete RRA LAR15 rifles, and have shot a few personally. They're good quality. I almost bought one but got a Stag at the time because of the long wait. They are also the primarly supplier for the DEA and FBI.

I love mine. I got a RRA LPK and 2 stage trigger in a non RRA lower and it fit together great, never had a problem. What convinced me was that DEA contract they landed. They must know a thing or two to have the DEA say theyre okay.

Oh...and they dont have an ugly deer on the side of their lowers... Big plus for me! :)

I have the RRA Tactical CAR UTE-2. I am very pleased with everything about this weapon. The trigger is awesome - crisp, light and absolutely no creep. The upper/lower fit is completely wiggle-free and I am shooting 10 shot groups of about 1.2 inches with a rest but no bipod. Under 1 MOA for a 5 shot group with bipod is no problem.

I have no complaints whatsoever with RRA.

My RRA has been exceptional. It eats Wolf, Privi, south american, federal, remmington, winchester and black hills without a hitch. In fact in over 2500 rounds and a carbine class i have never even had a malfunction.

I own both brands. RRA carbine and CMMG middy. Both quality builds and inexpensive. I call them my girlfriends, I love them both :tt1:
