Personally, I like to go all out... ie. T1.... but to most people... H1 is good enough... yet... most people will buy EOTech 552 instead of 512...

If I go for another Aimpoint, I'll go for a T-1.

It all depends on what you want on your rifle. The T1 is 4MOA. The M3 comes in 2 or 4 MOA.

T1 is the one I would go for and want

If you want to save some weight, the T-1/H-1 weighs 1/2 as much as the ML3.

I have the M3 and will probably upgrade it to the T1 as soon as I find enough change in my couch. I know...it's gonna take a little time.

I would really consider the 2 MOA dot if it mixes well with what you want. You might want to understand your sight picture between the two from your rifle and what you want from it. At 4 MOA going past 200 yards, that dot gets pretty big.

I will not shoot this rifle more than 200 yards if I were go 2moa i should be okay with the dot

Why do people continue to do this? The dot doesn't obstruct, as you would need to hold over when you move past 200yds.

the Micros are about 3MOA in size, anyways.

Unless magnified, the difference between 2 and 4MOA is negligible. Further, for the practical use of a red-dot (inside 100yds) a 4MOA dot is preferable, as it picks up faster.

i'd say the new h-1 with the t-1 finish

Because "us people" have a different opinion and experience on the matter.

UCLAplinker has always been so firm in his opinions.;)

I own a T-1...so should you:) I got mine from here...the best deal I could find. It is smartgunner.com's EBAY store. Fast shipping, excellent service.

$608 dlvd with Larue LT660 mount...not bad. He sells H-1s for $542 w/ ADM QD mount as well. I think the extra $65 is worth the T-1 and Larue...but that is my opinion. Either way you will be happy.

Yep. I bought the M3 (2MOA) over the T-1 'cuz I didn't understand this. Knowing what I know now, I'd get the T-1. Apparently most people don't notice a difference in dot size between the 2MOA M3 and a "4MOA" T-1. Get the T-1/H-1.

ML3 is so much heavier and a lot of tunnel vision...

Do you have a Micro? Have you use a Micro @ 200 yards? Do you think with a 4MOA dot (or more like 3MOA) @ 200, you will miss a COM shot? Or even a HEAD shot? Don't just go by the numbers, try it out first hand... before you preach....

If you can wait, wait for live.com rebate... since $608 is buy-it-now price which qualifies for whatever amount of rebate they offers.... I heard recently there are 8% or 14%....

The T-1 is more like a 3.4 MOA dot. I guarantee you will be barely be able to tell the difference between a T-1 dot and 4 MOA M4 dot unless you have them side by side and keep comparing them back and fourth a few times.

Sometimes I wonder what is up with some of you here and the 'tude. Before I preach? I just mentioned to the OP to check both out and make his own decision. You don't like my opinion for him to examine both himself, then keep it to yourself without putting in little snide remarks.

No I do not have a micro. However I have in the ML2 in 4 and ML3 in 2.

BTW I am not opposed to the 4 MOA, I have an ML2 in one, heck I have an Doctor Optic with a 7 MOA dot, but yes at long yardage with a 4MOA red dot on a rifle I have found the dot frustrating at times to hit bullseye. I wasn't really going to deal with COM or Head shots since I don't long range with those often, but sure heck you can and I don't have any issue with it, it's a preference that you might want something with a little less.

Yes because the aimpoint was deigned to be benched and shot at itty bitty bullseyes at long range right?

I won't say it was "deigned" to do anything more than what you try to use it with. It's a gun sight.

I love the H-1 I bought from you (at a great price, I might add). Since it will be a long while before I have enough free cash floating around to spring for NVG, I figured that the H-1 would be good enough.

I popped that sucker on a Larue tall mount, and I haven't looked back.

I'm not sure what the weight's like on the AR-57 uppers, but for me, less weight is always better.

I have the T-1 on my AR-57 and it's the s**t.

I originally had it on the tall Larue mount, but for me, it was just a tad too high. I switched over to the Larue HK mount and I have just about perfect cheek weld on my CTR. I don't have an AR to compare it to, but it would appear that the AR-57 has a taller upper like the piston guns.

I run a set of Midwest Industries folding sights as back-up and they provide true co-witness with the HK mount, so I assume they'd be lower 1/3rd co-witness with the tall mount. But you don't need any co-witness with the T-1, just more crap to sully the sight picture.

Incidentally, I attended a Vicker's Tactical course a few weeks back and that combo worked like a champ. I had no problem putting 120 yard (the length of the range) standing, offhand shots onto the 8' steel with the T-1.

Love my T1 although it may be going back to Aimpoint after my last range trip when it suddenly stopped working. Will get a new battery first to rule that out before contacting them.
