Is that NICS of new sales, or does it include used/PPT?

Shouldn't count if it's not an addition to our "arsenal." :D

Of course we all know the number is 10X's higher once we include "gun show loophole" sales. :rofl2:

Hmm. So, is it time to start loaning arms to the disarmed subjects of foreign tyranny yet?

How many in USA Armed Forces? 500K or so? How many 'carry' arms? At Tyndal USAF we had 5000 on the base and only about 100 SP's and MP's. I saw the armory once it was about the size of a Taco Truck. 1 mil. a month doesn't sound like enough to me:thumbsup:
I love these kind of comparisons - Enough guns to outfit all of the illegal aliens in the USA every year!
It should say 3,177,256 guns X $700(avg. cost of gun) X 9.25% (Cal Sales Tax) =$205,727,326 a quarter going to the states - not too shabby

Shoot no wonder my RGR & SWHC stock have been going through the roof. The irony of all this is I've taken my profits for the above stock and bought more guns and ammo so I guess I"m double dipping:)

Any country considering invading North America for additional "lebensraum" should bear that little factoid in mind... :chris:

Not that any are... :43:

How many in USA Armed Forces? 500K or so?

More like 1.3-million active and reserve at any one time. Not to mention 5-plus million recently discharged veterans (within 10 years) at any one time.

It would appear that when people are in uncertain times they prepare.

While it is anecdotal I can say that I PPTed two handguns a couple days ago about 4:30 in the afternoon, and there had been just over 1000 DROS cut that day tothat point in time going by the sequence numbers. These two were my fourth and fifth of this year so far.

New or PPT, there are lots of firearms changing hands in California, which should make at least one part of state government happy, at $25 per DROS.

We don't. But remember that 90% of these guns are being sent straight to Mexico! :D

I did well on SWHC stock too, took some profits and bought guns and ammo.
Profit and earnings statement is due out next month, and SW diluted their stock earlier this month which caused a drop. P &E is expected to cause a spike in the stock, good time to buy it.

plus the unreported transactions such as ftf in states requiring no paper on such and homebuilds not using 100% recievers.
2009 will blow the doors off those figures.

Didn't China once brag that they could muster a 200 million man army?

We're gonna need more guns.
