View Full Version : Shipping antique pistol

I sold my 1896 Webley Mark II and need to ship it to the buyer. I'm an FFL03, as is the buyer. I know that weapons manufactured in 1898 and before are not considered firearms but how does UPS view this? Their weapons shipping info does not make any mention of antique firearms. Thanks.

Can an 03 ship USPS like an 01 can? It would probably be cheaper, easier and faster to ship priority or flatrate.

I made some calls and according to Tim at Fort Courage, there are no restrictions since it is not considered a firearm. Just throw it in a box and ship as usual.
I also confirmed this with UPS. No special procedure if it's an antique.
