Only for government agencies or those very few individuals/companies with a special weapons permit. Federally it is an NFA AOW.

No.

You need to apply for permit to get one.

It's not a pistol, its a Short Barreled Shotgun and you need to pay tax to Federal Government to
have this transferred to you.

Like the guys said above, you need lotsa special Fed & state paperwork.

In CA, this is essentially impossible for mere mortals.

Look at it and drool, but it ain't gonna happen.

On the same note, does California strickly follow the BATF short barrel definition ? Or it has a different length ?
What is the shotgun barrel length limit anyways ? 18 inch ?

Yes, but unlike some other states, you CANNOT GET A TITLE II GUN in the prk in spite of the fact there is an application available.

Minimum barrel length is 18", measured from the end of the barrel to the bolt face. Minimum overall length is 26". Prk is identical to the feds.

In normal states, a gun like the one above transfers as an 'any other weapon' for a $5 transfer tax IF it came with the pistol grip from the factory; otherwise, it's a 'short barrel shotgun'and your tax stamp is $200. It's a very nasty gun to shoot, your wrist won't last. While still a little kicky, mine has a much friendlier rear grip...http://www.csmetall-werkes.com/REM-AOW.jpg
