Like the title says, is there any way to legally own a M1 carbine paratrooper in CA? Regular M1 carbines are featureless, but the paratrooper has a 26-1/2" length folded, and a pistol grip. I would like to avoid having to pin the folder, and attach a magazine lock, so I am more looking to see if this rifle can be classified as AOW and what would be involved. If you personally own a functional paratrooper, or know specifically how to own one legally, please PM me with details.

Thanks

Dave

Even if its an AOW, you still must obey CA AW regulations correct?

correct, a legally possesed AOW exempts you from only PC12020, no other sections of the code. So, you have to comply with the AW regs as well. It would be sweet if we could AOW an AR/AK pistol and then run detachable magazines, but that is not the way I read the code.
