As far as I can tell, they're legal under 12020 and 12301.

It would be more funny if you installed one... on somebody else's car :43:

My step dad told me that they actually did this in Vietnam. One on the front and one on the back of their vehicles. I wouldn't want to be in it though.

Do you think most people would recognize what it is? In CA, unless you are near a military base, I doubt it. Hell, most of my neighbors think I'm really into guitars with all the cases I carry in/out of the apartment.

Yeah I don't think it would put much of dent into the amount of tailgaters.

I found that the 100m of wire that comes with the claymore isn't nearly long enough.

I agree, 100m of wire is not enough. Those little bastards make a lot of noise and concussion. Damn they're fun!

The ones linked to won't work for me.. But I'm thinking about picking up some of the airsoft ones and strapping them to the front of my vietnam 5 ton truck. :cool2:

That thing is awesome. If I end up putting a receiver hitch on my minivan I'm definitely getting one. Fortunately my wife won't know what it is either.

That's an awesome hitch cover. Yes, most people wouldn't know what it is. What I find unfortunate is that every time something cool comes out regardless of how harmless it is, we need to ask if it's illegal in California or not.
