I get my mail this morning, and my absentee ballot is in the box. Here in Congressional district 5, there's a special election being held after Robert Matsui died. His widow is running for the seat. She refuses to debate the other candidates, and there are two other Democrats and a Green going for it, so a Republican could have a shot at it, right?

Oh, no, THAT WOULD MAKE TOO MUCH SENSE!!!! There are five, count 'em, 5 Republicans on the ballot! I swear, there must be an under-the-table agreement between the parties not to seriously challenge each others' seats. http://www.calguns.net/banghead.gif

Well, another year voting for the bounty hunter.

Yea, they do get pretty dumb. As campus club day (where the different clubs set up tables and try to get people to sign up) I over heard one guy at a table yell "We're the only ones who can fly this (U.S.) flag!"

I spun around to engage what I thought would be a Liberal but it was the large loud member behind the Republican table. He didn't like it when I suggested that while I'm conservative I don't want to be associated with that kind of bigoted mindset. :|
