As always Stan, great range/AAR reports!

Stan, do you have any idea if they make Tikkas in .338 Lapua? I look on several websites and the calibers sometimes conflict, I see an extra caliber listed available for a given model but then go on another website and see less calibers available for that same model. Any ideas? Thanks

Awesome... got a bit left on my layaway for my T3 Varmint, can't wait to get it. Is yours the Lite? Stock or picatinny rail and what scope?
Also, what's the -224?

Yea cool, I think I mainly plan to use it for the rage, but I'm sure I'll do some hunting at some point with it. I bought the EGW 20 MOA for mine as well and a Bushnell 3200 Elite, should be a god starting point.
I just want to find a shade for my scope but haven't found anything yet. Bushnell makes a screw in one for the model up from mine but I don't think you can buy it standalone.
Thanks for the explanation on the groups too.
Is that a public shooting place you can just pull up to?

As always, great pics and range reports.
What scope are you running on it?

I think I've been convinced by Stan that my next bolt will be a T3 lite in .223. Thanks for the great report and pics...as always.

I have to say that I picked up a T3 tactical in .308 based on Stan's reports and easily outshoots the last few factory bolt guns I've had. I regularly shoot groups under .5 inch with the first group out of the box at .442! My best effort to date was a 4 shot one hole group that I ruined with a flier.

+1 for Tikkas! I think they are one of the rifles that dont get as much attention as they deserve. I sold both mine unfortunately =( but i'll get another some day. Cant beat that out of the box accuracy. I cant wait till more companies step up and start making upgrades for them.
Here is a everyday 5 shot group from my 223 tikka tactical using handloads w/ 24.5 grns Varget, CCI BR, and 69gr SMKs.
and heres 15rnds of factory american eagle cheapo ammo

according to randall, its -.200 not .224 since the holes are smaller when it passes through!
anyways tell the rifle it shoots awesome!

That is exactly what I was talking about!

I blame this on Stan...
Thanks buddy! lol
BTW Stan, whered you find that extended bolt knob?

How is the stock on the lite?
I handled one at one point, but the memory is fuzzy in that regard. The stocks on the Savage's always left something to be desired.....
I was considering getting a stainless T3 lite cut down and iron sighted like the Savage Scout.....

Is that shooting site the old 'quarry' that had been closed (a few years ago) - out on the way to Wiskeytown lake?
I think I was the last guy to *legally* shoot there.

I recently started reloading and have found a load that shoots pretty much sub 1/2" five shot groups...even with me driving!
If it was not for ME pulling one shot in my last group...they would all be under 1/2".
Here are my results froma few hours ago.
Ok Stan, thanks a lot buddy, I just hate it when you post up pics like this. Makes me just want to take my Howa and turn it into a pole lamp......:rofl2:
