Got a chance today to try out the new g17 RTF2 model pistol

fricken sweet

sorry I don't have any target pics but I was shooting the 10 ring at 25 yards easily with crappy range ammo and jacked on a bunch of energy drinks

the grip is exactly like perfectly moded other glocks with grip tape but less abrasive on the palms and I assume much better for CCW

the new cocking serations look awesome in person and the reduced finger grooves are just enough to make this glock feel like a 9mm 1911 with better grips would IMO

the straightest pointing for me even over my g21 sf and I have big hands.

I know they offer the g22 rtf2 already but this is the one I would buy (with some mag-safe rounds for HD).

I've been waiting for the G19RTF2

I am looking forward to handling on the RTF Glocks. Doesn't look like it is on the roster yet. Perhaps there will not be one to get on soon.

Why are there no sights on the one in the picture?

As well as the 25 and 28.

Actually...
LEOs can buy the Glock 25 and 28.
They in turn can transfer it to a civilian.
So, you can legally own a Glock 25 or 28. But, you can't buy one "new".

No way to work around a Glock 18, since it's a post-86 MG.
Unless, you are a FFL/SOT with a LE demo letter.
But, if your LE demo letter goes away, you'll need to get rid of it.

The 17L and 24 aren't on the CA safe list so you can't order them new, but you can ppt them.

Oh, I thought it was an issue with importation restrictions. Good to know. I wouldn't mind having the little 28.

Yep, there's more than one California based calgunner who could legally own a G18. Just because us most of us can't doesn't mean all of us can't.

Nice.. I am hoping they will take the RTF2 frame and make an OD pistol with it. I may need one of those for woods carry.
