I'm looking for a handful of 50BMG brass for a handloading project.
I'll be swaging and machining whatever I get, so if what you have to offer has relatively slight surface oxidation or has been trimmed a bit short that'd be perfect.
Brand new is fine too.

Local pick-up would be great.

This might be more than "a handful", but I have a bag of 50 of them available for $40. They are once-fired, recent date Lake City, maybe 2005 and 2006, I'd have to double check. They have been cleaned, but not deprimed or anything else. I'm in San Francisco.

Gavin-

Thanks for the note.
I got a note from someone who might have some Berdan-primed brass that might be cheaper/fewer quantity.
As I don't necessarily need the BMG primer (or berdan for that matter) for the project I'm using the brass for, I might go that route.
Otherwise, I might be in touch with you in the next few days.

Thanks again

Aaron-

I'll be annealing/swaging/forming the BMG brass into 3" rifle cases for a 16-bore Magnum double rifle (~.690 caliber)

Could you post a photo to the thread so I can see how the cases are affected?

Now that I think of it, I have 10 or 12 French .50 BMG rounds

Of the two I tested, they didn't go bang. I hear the primers went bad. I'll sell them to you for cheap... I just need to find them first. I hope you can pull the bullets out.

Hey, I'll take one round (assuming all the same headstamp) to add to my collection.

BTW, I'm sending the OP about 70 rounds of brass for the ungodly sum of $30 shipped! It's mainly berdan primed though.

You want one of the two rounds that failed to fire, and I soaked in water... or a good one? Well they're not good. but you know what I mean.

Let me check with someone this weekend and I might be able to get a handful (head stamp PMJ06) I can send your way for the cost of postage.
