Saw a picture of an HK 770 with what looks like a small flash suppressor. Is it? Can they be removed? I'm interested in buying it but not interested in importing an AW.
TIA

They are integral to the barrel, if I remember correctly HK referred to the cuts as a compensator. I had a couple of these rifles many years ago.

A "compensator" implies muzzle break, not flash suppressor, no?

I would think a compensator would be a muzzle break and not a flash suppressor. Where it stands legally I have no idea, but a peice of factory literature refering to a compensator would be helpful.
If your looking to purchase one of these rifles and want to avoid any hassle 770's also came without the cuts and SL7's never had any cuts.
