With turnout this low, we actually have a shot at getting a reasonably pro gun guy into office in Los Angeles. Whodathunkit?!

Ready for a shocker?:eek::eek:

I live close to W Hollywood. So close that my polling place is inside their city limits. I passed 2, yes, 2 Trutanich yard signs at homes inside the city of W Hollywood!:gunsmilie:

BUMP for a worthy cause.

Either get out and vote or don't complain about the consequences, guys. Polls close at 8pm. There's still time. I'm heading over shortly.

+1

If November told us anything, it's that elections have consequences!

Get out the vote!

I think that Jack Weiss' attempts to pain Tru as the NRA candidate didn't work. Even though I got a few NRA robocalls endorsing Tru.

This seems like a very important position for gun owners, perhaps more important than mayor in some ways, because the city attorney is the one who prosecutes misdemeanors (is this correct?) which includes CCW-without-a-permit. I think he would also advise the city on how to handle lawsuits, including CCW suits?

I voted to be TRUE to you know who:thumbsup: I did my part. Voter turn out did appear to be low.

Just saw a short piece on ch5, Trutanich seemed to get the most spot time, and in a positive way, his commercial was the only one shown in the background. Lets go LA, put the right guy in office.

The vote turnout is so low I have ballot receipt number five for Woodland Hills. The last election was a 45 minute wait in line. The wife and I both voted for Trutanich instead of the hysterical whiner (who's out of a job).

I got over in time. I had to use a stupid provisional ballot, but it's in. Looks like Trutanich is leading.

I voted for him in Studio City, and my ballot number, at around 6pm, was seventy-something. The wife did an absentee ballot for him :)

Not just that either; many on the West Side are disgusted with what appears to be Jack Weiss' insider ways with developers, his elitist demeanor, his repeated absence from City Council voting and meetings, his constant dumbed-down sympathetic mugging for the camera at every media opportunist loving chance he can get, and the feeling that he is so deep in Tony's pocket that when Jack Weiss hiccups, Villaraigosa mistakes Jack for a cell phone on vibrate.

I'm surprised the Lottery modernization proposition is not doing well. This state has the least amount of pay-out to public program of nearly all the biggest state lotteries in the country, yet we have the largest economy in the country of any state. :confused:

I'm so jazzed we frickin' won! I don't even know if the City Attorney's responsibilities will have anything to do with furthering the 2A cause, but I think we sent a real message here: that even in LALA land, gun owners are a force to be taken seriously. Villaretardo's little gun buy back stunt with Weiss and the LAPD backfired!

I know this is just one city level race, but I get the gut feeling that across the land, gun grabbing politicians are realzing their tactics are increasingly ineffective. They had their time to prove gun control does not work, the people know it, and they better find another topic to try to win votes. Maybe it's just the morning orange juice talking, but I think this is a symbolically significant win.
