Looks kind of cool, except it only has the flip rear sights... no wind adjustment.

last i heard they weren't coming to the US because some parts were made in Vietnam. i read that YEARS ago so I'm not 100% on that.

The problem with robbing peter to pay paul, paul will always go along with it.

the problem with socialism is, the rich eventually run out, of money, or the country.

Unbeleivable to me that everything under the sun in this country is made in China but guns from that part of the world are so restricted. Meanwhile, they make childrens toys with lead based paint.

The AIA Enfields are banned from import to the USA, due to parts of it being made in Viet Nam.

However, a few hundered AIA Enfields were imported into the USA prior to being banned.

The ones that got in were the AIA Model 10-A1 (Enfield Carbine clone) in 7.62x39mm and it uses AK magazines.
The Gander Mountain store chain got them. They sell for around $700.
They were going to sell the .308 AIA Enfields as well and had them listed at around $1000, but they didn't get any due to the ban.

Why settle for this junk made in some sweatshop by Ho Chi Minh's great grandson. There are still unfired/pristine enfields out there to be had, for much less than a grand. I've got two sitting in the safe right now (no they arent for sale).

While that may be true if you wished to get an Enfield in 7.62.x51 rather than .303 your only real option is either an Ishapore 2A or one of the Gibbs re-worked 2A's that pop up every so often. While I prefer the look of the 2A it would be kind of neat to take one of the AIA's and turn it into a scout rifle.

Still, nice find all the same. ^_^
