View Full Version : My 100th handgun

05-11-2005, 11:20 AM
Just picked it up, my 100th. Ever since Cali decided to only let me buy one a month, I've been doing just that. My latest purchase is a soon to be discontinued H&K P7M8 that L A Guns had on web special last month for $1439. I've never shot one but will be taking it to Angeles this weekend. http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

They have the Scandium S&W 1911 on there now...hmmm do I need one of them?

ShorePaul, know whatcha mean about those new Scandium S&W 1911s - I want the 1911Sc Commander-style gun myself!!

And Turby, it's indeed possible if one has no kids or wife, house bought awhile back, doesn't go on fancy vacations, etc.

Hell, I need to get on the tit and start buying:

Wow, 100 handguns... I'm impressed, and congratulations. May I ask how many longguns you have?

And I don't know why, but for some reason the fact that a Ruger MKII made it to your top 10 out of 100 strikes me as really funny.

Wow! That is amazing. Didn't even know 100 guns were even legal in CA. Has the ATF ever paid you a visit? He who dies with the most guns wins, or just doesn't die.

Unfortunately all my firearm goals will have to be fulfilled out of state.

I am inspired. I just got into shooting last year (10/04) and through 3/05 bought 4 handguns and 2 shotguns. I need to go buy some more.

Holy handguns Batman!

I have tried to buy all I can, but pale in your mastery of our laws. I also have the same feelings for my Mark I bought at SF Gun exchange in 1979 for 50 bucks. It is an original 1954 model. I still have the original grips but they are in a drawer. I like the pachmayer full wraparound grips better.

Anyhow I dont want to hijack this thread I just wanted to say you are to be praised!

Tch! Big deal.

I've probably picked up well over a thousand handguns in my time - maybe more.
...picked them up, checked my wallet, and handed them back with a polite, "thank you for your time" as I walked away.

Wow! 100! Congratulations!
And I get crap from friends and family for having 10 of the same model! Why do you need so many? Why did you buy 10 of the same kind? Blah! Blah! Blah!
I wonder if there is a magic number that CADOJ has for red flagging?

If you buy private party, can't you buy ore than one a month?
Not that I can afford that or anything close.

Yes, there have been some months that I did pick up a few consignment handguns from L A Guns. Their used guns are listed on their site so it's like they reach in my living room to taunt me with the new stuff. http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

To answer someone else's question, I have no rifles. Yet.
