Selling this for my old neighbor whose husband passed away. 1965 Colt Python 4" barrel, 357 magnum CTG. 5 digit serial 4499#. Revolver is located in N. Cty San Diego. She'll entertain offers between $1300-$1500. Unreg. A beautiful piece in very good condition. I'll try to answer any questions.

Ehem...

Please set a fixed price as it is against the rules to have auction type biddings here.

Just a friendly reminder....

Looks like someone has gone in through the side panel, could you let me know if any work has been done to the revolver?

I thought the same thing when I first saw it. If the side panel has been modified you certainly can't tell, the tolerance around the panel is pretty tight. If it was altered, I believe you would see a more defintive gap, I can't. Thats my opinion. My neighbor, she couldn't verify whether its been worked on.

It might be from another Python or a bad re-blueing.

Nice to see you're helping her out.

I have a few sidepanels with original blueing in case you (or a buyer) are looking for replacement. Note that sidepanels require fitting, so it's not going to be a "drop in" job, most likely.

Also, colt will reblue parts. I know of one person that did so and colt did a good job on matching the original.
